Die Klasse 6d hat letzte Woche im Englischunterricht Vor- und Nachteile zum Thema "berühmt sein" gefunden und als Hausaufgabe zum ersten Mal "pro and con texts" dazu geschrieben:
Is it good to be famous or not?
I think you can´t answer this question with a simple "yes" or "no". To be famous doesn’t have only one side.
On the one hand you`re rich and you can be proud of yourself. But on the other hand people may be stalking you. If you are a rockstar you can see cool places, but you can`t go shopping where and when you like because there are too many fans. If you are a rich man you can see cool places, too and you can go shopping where you like. But you don’t have real friends. If you are an actor you must always give autographs and you must take pictures with fans. If you are a famous person everyone in public recognizes you. On the one hand people are friendly, but on the other hand people ask you for money.
All in one you don’t have privacy. So I think it isn`t good to be famous and it`s better to live a normal life.

Is it good to be famous or not?
When people become famous their lives change. Things are not like before. But is it really good to be famous?
On the one hand you can see some cool places and you’ve got fans, you’ve got so much money.
On the other hand you have so much stress, no time for friends over; you don’t have time for fun with other kids. Moreover, you don’t have privacy.
I think to be famous is good but also not good, because you’ve got much money but you have much stress.

Is it good to be famous?
We hear a lot about famous people., mostly on TV or in different magazines. They are rich, have wonderful houses and lots of fans.
But there is one question: "Is it good to be famous?”
One the one hand it is good because you can see the whole world, you have an interesting job, and you can make a lot of money with singing, dancing and acting.
But on the other hand it is not good to be famous because you have no privacy, the reporters take photos of you and the money doesn't make you happy because you have everything and no more wishes for the future.
You can't be sure if your friends are really friends or if they only like your money and your lifestyle.
I think it is good to be famous because you earn a lot of money and so you can buy everything you want. The jobs of models, actors and singers are more interesting than a boring job in an office. You can have a big house in the USA.

When people become famous their lives change. Things are not like before. But is it really good to be famous?
On the one hand it is good because you can see some cool places and meet interesting people. And you have got fans. Your fans love you. You can earn much money and buy beautiful clothes.
On the other hand it is not good because you always have to give autographs and you have to answer questions and you don’t have privacy. During the week you have so much stress and no time for friends.
I think life is great, if you are famous or if you’re not. You have to go your own way and live your life.

When people become famous their lives change. Things are not like to before. But is it really good to be famous?
On the one hand is it good to be famous, because you have lots of money and you can see interesting cities of the world. And you meet lots of famous and interesting people. That’s so cool!
But on the other hand you don’t have time for real friends and you don’t have privacy. That’s not so good. Maybe people start stalking you... that’s so creepy! Or thieves can steal your money.
I think it isn’t good to be famous. I wouldn’t like people to stalk me!

We think it's better to be not to be famous, because you have no time for friends.
